Stay connected with timely updates on construction progress for the Town of Mountain Village and our community.

  • Currently Activity:

    • Continuation of drilling operation for shoring wall system and dewatering wells
    • Note that the drilling machine produces steam, especially in colder conditions. This may look like smoke but is not a cause for alarm.
    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd)
    • Tunnel boring for electrical service installation

    Upcoming Activity & Closures:

    • Installation of head gate at plaza pond (access through plaza will be maintained during installation)
    • Installation of site dewatering system
    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.
  • Current Activity:

    • Continuation of drilling operation for shoring wall system and dewatering wells
    • Note that drilling conditions require the use of a larger machine than initially expected due to hardness of bedrock. Additional noise and dust may be produced. The Weitz Company will mitigate these impacts wherever possible.
    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd)

    Upcoming Activity & Closures:

    • Installation of head gate at plaza pond (access through plaza will be maintained during installation)
    • Installation of site dewatering system
    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.

  • Current Activity:

    • Continuation of Shoring wall system with three dig rigs in operation
    • Continuation of earthwork supporting access for equipment to upper benches at shoring wall systems
    • Continuation of Utility work at Westermere area and including one lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd for storm drain systems.
    • We anticipate Black Hills Energy to relocate a gas line at Westermere, this is being coordinated with BHE and further details timing to follow. Lumen is also being scheduled to relocate some of the existing analog phone lines to move them outside of the project to prevent continuous interruption as work continues. Both scopes of work are anticipated to occur in the upcoming weeks and a more detailed timeframe will be provided.
  • October 7, 2025 marked a milestone in the mountains as we celebrated the groundbreaking of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Telluride.

  • We’re excited to share that construction activity is officially commencing this week. This page will continue to provide regular updates on the project for the benefit of the public and the Town of Mountain Village. Our goal is to keep the community informed with timely, transparent information as progress continues.

    Current Activity:

    • Installation of site fence
    • Installation of monitoring equipment
    • Arrival of earthwork equipment
