  • Current Activities:

  • Current Activities:

    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd, anticipated to end Dec 12th).
    • Water tap tie-ins along Mountain Village Blvd.
    • Installation of water treatment for site dewatering system.
    • Drilling of piers and setting steel beams for shoring wall system.

    Upcoming Activity & Closures:

    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.
  • Current Activities:

    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd).
    • Water tap tie-ins along Mountain Village Blvd. Slight extension of 1-lane closure for the completion of this work; overall closure still anticipated to last until next week.
    • Continuation of tunnel boring for electrical service installation. Transformer vaults being set to tie into electrical conductors.
    • Installation of art wall and observation deck on Gondola Plaza.

    Upcoming Activity & Closures:

    • Installation of water treatment for site dewatering system. Dewatering system expected to be operational on approximately Dec 1.
    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.
  • Current Activity:

    • Installation of site dewatering pumps
    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd).
    • Sanitary tie-in at hairpin turn on Mountain Village Blvd. Water taps will occur as soon as the tie-in is complete. Slight extension of 1-lane closure for the completion of this work; overall closure still anticipated to last until gondola reopens.
    • Continuation of tunnel boring for electrical service installation. Transformer vaults being set to tie into electrical
    • Gas line relocation that affects the Westemere, gas provider will complete work and is responsible for notifications to anyone that will be impacted. The new line will be installed on the morning of Wednesday Nov 12th. Exact timing of the shutdown will depend on how long it takes for the gas provider to test and restart, but we anticipate this to be completed within working hours on Wednesday Nov 12th.
    • Water main shutdown that impacts the TelSki offices/Gondola building (under the gondola plaza) to allow for a tie into the main. Work to begin Wednesday Nov 12th, and will last through the 13th and potentially into the 14th. Water will be off the entire duration. The TMV water division will be taking care of providing 48 hr notice to anyone in the impacted area. Fire department has been notified for fire watch of the area during the shutdown.

    • Installation of site dewatering pumps
    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd).
      • Starting sanitary tie-in at hairpin turn on Mountain Village Blvd. Water taps will occur as soon as the tie-in is compete. Slight extension of 1-lane closure for the completion of this work; overall closure still anticipated to last until gondola reopens.
    • Continuation of tunnel boring for electrical service installation. Transformer vaults being set to tie into electrical.

    Upcoming Activity & Closures:

    • Installation of head gate at plaza pond week of Nov 10th (access through plaza will be maintained during installation)
    • Installation of water treatment for site dewatering system. Dewatering system expected to be operational on approximately Dec 1.
    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.
    • Gas line relocation occurring next week. Gas provider will complete work. This affects the Westemere, gas provider is responsible for notifications to anyone that will be impacted. The new line will be installed on Wednesday (Nov 12) morning. Exact timing of the shutdown will depend on how long it takes for the gas provider to test and restart, but we anticipate this to be completed within working hours on Wednesday (Nov 12).

    • Note that the drilling machine produces steam, especially in colder conditions. This may look like smoke but is not a cause for alarm.
    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd)
    • Tunnel boring for electrical service installation

    Upcoming Activity & Closures:

    • Installation of head gate at plaza pond (access through plaza will be maintained during installation)
    • Installation of site dewatering system
    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.
  • Current Activity:

    • Continuation of drilling operation for shoring wall system and dewatering wells
    • Note that drilling conditions require the use of a larger machine than initially expected due to hardness of bedrock. Additional noise and dust may be produced. The Weitz Company will mitigate these impacts wherever possible.
    • Continuation of site utility installation (associated 1-lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd)

    • Installation of site dewatering system
    • Drilling for shoring wall and site utility installation will continue. Lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd is anticipated to last through the remainder of the off season.

  • Current Activity:

    • Continuation of Shoring wall system with three dig rigs in operation
    • Continuation of earthwork supporting access for equipment to upper benches at shoring wall systems
    • Continuation of Utility work at Westermere area and including one lane closure on Mountain Village Blvd for storm drain systems.
    • We anticipate Black Hills Energy to relocate a gas line at Westermere, this is being coordinated with BHE and further details timing to follow. Lumen is also being scheduled to relocate some of the existing analog phone lines to move them outside of the project to prevent continuous interruption as work continues. Both scopes of work are anticipated to occur in the upcoming weeks and a more detailed timeframe will be provided.
  • October 7, 2025 marked a milestone in the mountains as we celebrated the groundbreaking of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Telluride.

  • We’re excited to share that construction activity is officially commencing this week. This page will continue to provide regular updates on the project for the benefit of the public and the Town of Mountain Village. Our goal is to keep the community informed with timely, transparent information as progress continues.
